Intercultural Communication Training
Csicsó, Slovakia
Between 2018 and 2020, Puyu Ning has explored the applicability of our research for the education of children. She held various series of research-enriched intercultural communicational trainings for 7th and 9th grade students at the Gáspár Sámuel Alapiskola és Óvoda in Csicsó, Slovakia. Importantly, the School was created for Hungarian ethnic children in diaspora in a border area of Hungary and Slovakia. Our hypothesis was that intercultural communication – in particular, the type of work we have been engaged in – is particularly important for the social success of these children. This hypothesis proved to be true, as feedback from both the children and their teachers confirmed. Educational cooperation between our team and the School will continue when the health emergency triggered by Covid-19 allows us to resume our work on this project.
